Litter picking volunteering (Scotland)

Opportunity image

Spring Clean is a litter collecting campaign run by Keep Scotland Beautiful. It runs from 15th March to 28th April 2024. We are looking for people to collect litter on their local National Cycle Network paths regularly over these 6 weeks. This is to help keep the paths clean and welcoming for everyone using them and to support this campaign.

We can provide any equipment that you need and advise on how to dispose of what you pick up. We will help you to let us know how much you have collected and who was involved. We will share the data with Keep Scotland Beautiful.

As part of the Spring Clean volunteering activities, you will:

  • collect litter each week from your local paths
  • record how much litter you pick up and share the details.

Your local Sustrans team will give you a call to get you started, and then provide you with support and guidance.

Does this sound like you?

You…

  • can easily reach the National Cycle Network paths by walking, cycling, wheeling or public transport
  • enjoy being active outdoors
  • can do tasks independently
  • share our values and mission to get more people cycling, walking and wheeling
  • are enthusiastic about sustainable travel in your area.

Then join this Spring Clean volunteering opportunity in your area to help keep your local paths clean and beautiful.
