Creative media volunteering - Photography (Photography and Videography Volunteering)

Opportunity image

We use photos and video for many different purposes as a charity. They help show everyone what we do, tell stories and inspire others to engage with active travel in their own neighbourhoods. You can help with your creative ideas and photography or video skills to show what walking, wheeling and cycling in your community can look like.

You can help with activities according to your own interests and skills. This could include:

  • taking photos and/or video at events and of activities related to our work
  • helping with creating projects and be part of them to the end
  • editing, if needed
  • sharing your images/video with Sustrans for social media and digital.

Some tasks are home-based, while others will involve visiting locations of projects. We will provide you with training and support while volunteering.

You can try out the activities before you decide to continue. We can then see if this is for you, and if you feel comfortable with the photography / videogpraphy tasks.

We are always interested to hear your ideas on how we can get more people engaged with sustainable and active travel. If you have any creative photo/video ideas, please just let us know in your application. We can have a chat about it together.

Does this sound like you?
