Creative media volunteering (Edinburgh Tool Library)
Edinburgh Tool Library is a not-for-profit organisation reducing waste by sharing tools, developing skills and know-how, as well as providing inclusive, welcoming spaces open to everyone in the community. By showing working alternatives, they’re creating a ripple effect turning small actions into big waves of change – opening minds to a low-carbon, community-forward future.
Sustrans Communities Team have been supporting them to develop their ‘Cycle Kitchen’ project. They would like to find a volunteer who is passionate about active travel to create a case study that will showcase the project. This should be in a format that is engaging and accessible to a broad audience. It could be in the form of a short film, comic strip, animation, photo blog, podcast, or anything else you can dream up! Sustrans can pay for training in any of these skills if required. You will be volunteering for Sustrans, although the task mainly involves liaising with Edinburgh Tool Library.
There is flexibility in this opportunity, and we are interested to hear your ideas or preferences for how it can be shaped, so you could make a big impact. We can have a chat about it together. Does this sound like you?
